Bingham Town FC has successfully applied to be one of the three charitable organisations that the Co-op has chosen to support from November 2017 to October 2018.
Our project is to create a permanent soccer school at the club for U6s to discover the pleasure of playing football. The school, which is likely to be named 'BTFC Little Kickers,' is set to launch later this year and will provide training for Under 6s as well as an introduction to football coaching for enthusiastic parents who will then be encouraged to take the squad or squads forward at the end of the season before the new intake of Under 6s arrives. Full details of the scheme are yet to be finalised.
Rob Harwood, Chairman of BTFC , commented, 'The generous support from the Co-op will give us a firm foundation on which to build the Little Kickers brand and provide the equipment essential for the success of the project.'
All members of the club can play their part in this project by shopping at the Co-op. For those who are Co-op members, we would please ask that you go onto the Co-op website, log in to your account and make sure that you tick the box which directs their 'charitable' donation in the direction of the Football Club project. This way we will get the maximum funding rather than it being shared between the three charities.
Thanks again to the Co-op for their support and look out for further news of the 'Littke Kickers' project.
