Bingham Town FC has successfully applied to be one of the three charitable organisations that the Co-op has chosen to support from November 2017 to October 2018.
Our project is to create a permanent soccer school at the club for 4 to 7 year old boys and girls to give them the chance to discover the pleasure of playing football. The school, which is to be named Bingham Rangers - a link to our history from the 1920s to 1960s - is set to launch in June and will provide training for 4 to 7 year olds as well as an introduction to football coaching for enthusiastic parents who will then be encouraged to take the squad or squads forward at the end of the season before the new intake arrives.
Rob Harwood, Chairman of BTFC , commented, 'The generous support from the Co-op will give us a firm foundation on which to build the Bingham Rangers brand and provide the equipment essential for the success of the project.'
All members of the club can play their part in this project by shopping at the Co-op. For those who are Co-op members, we would please ask that you go onto the Co-op website, log in to your account and make sure that you tick the box which directs their 'charitable' donation in the direction of the Football Club project. This way we will get the maximum funding rather than it being shared between the three charities.
Thanks again to the Co-op for their support and look out for further news of the 'Bingham Rangers' project.
