Bingham Wildcats get a first taste of competitive football

By Robert Harwood

....and they loved it!

Adrian Hall, Mark Griffin, Andy Smith and Russ Gibbs took a squad of girls from the Bingham Town Wildcats to play their first ever games at an U8 tournament that the Notts Girls and Ladies League organised in early May on the morning of their cup finals day at Calverton MW.

They all loved it - you can certainly see that from their faces in the photo! The coaches said that they were a bit shell shocked at first but all grew into it. All of the parents were really positive and offered lots of encouragement.

'This is great news for Bingham Town FC and, in particular, for the girls section which goes from strength to strength and is recognised as one of the strongest girls groups in Nottinghamshire,' commented Chairman, Rob Harwood

Any other girls aged 5 to 11 who want to come down to Butt Field on Saturday mornings - 10.30 - 11.30 - and join in the fun are more than welcome. Just ask for Adrian or Russ when you arrive and see if they like it!
